Pai Gow Poker:
Pai Gow Poker game is a renowned online casino game derived from an ancient Chinese game for dominoes. There are numerous ways of playing Pai Gow.
The dealer first needs to allocate the bets. The dealer might pay each of the players for their respective hands, or collect the bet amount from each player or might end up in a push. However, at a quarter or a nickel table, the bets usually include stakes amounting to $2. As it does not include any betting rounds, the amount used for bet is solely being used by the player to lose or win.
Nevertheless, a dealer must not forget that all the players might win by betting the maximum amount. Any dealer, who considers $2 as a maximum bet amount with only 5 players, stands the chances of winning or losing around $10, while other single players stand the chances of winning or losing around $2.
Each of the players is dealt with seven cards by the dealer including the dealer. Accordingly, the dealers and players score two of the hands amongst seven given cards. These seven cards comprise of five cards of one hand and two cards of one hand. These five cards for one hand will be used as regular hands for poker below the table with crucial competition. While the two cards for one hand is used as Two-Card Guts hand, which comprises of a pair or a high card.
However, the only deviation in regards to these seven cards is about the five cards that need to replace the two cards. In simple terms, if two of the card hands include a pair, then five of the card hands need to include at least a pair having a same value. In Pai Gow Poker a player starts by placing two cards of the hand facing upwards. Thereafter, the dealer reveals the two cards of the hand. Every two cards of the hand which is being defeated by the dealer's card faces downwards. Likewise, each and every player reveals their five cards of hand, after which dealer exposes his/her card. However, players with five cards of the hand cannot defeat the dealer's flipped card which is facing downwards.
The main catch of the game is when each and every player has both the hands facing upwards, accordingly the dealer pays off their even money for their bets that the player has made. When each and every player has either of their hands facing upward or downwards, it is considered as a push and the player backs off with the bet by losing nothing. In simpler terms, defeating the dealer's both hands account for the following:
Losing against the dealer for both of the hands pays for winning, while losing against the other is considered as a push.
Variations
This above description is somewhat close to the real Pai Gow Poker casino game that is being played. However, players who do not have knowledge of this game or the hands involved will either make bets of smaller values thus losing up at the end. With the same concept of betting irrespective of winning or losing descends to a five hand of the card. Players usually decide upon the bets after distributing their seven cards and accordingly reveal two of their cards in a hand.
If a player does not have two of the cards as good as that of the dealer, then the cards automatically get terminated and their bets are later collected by the dealer. For those players, who are still awaiting to reveal their five cards of the hand add to the bets depending upon their wish. Thereafter, all the dealers and the players reveal their hands of five cards. Players who have much better hands of five cards as compared to the dealer will be paid with even money.
